Description

A community experience to connect women, a gentle space, held in love 4 part series.

Grief and loss are woven throughout each of our lives . Each person’s experience of grief is as unique as their fingerprint, ebbing and flowing in an unpredictable and ever changing dance. Yet, it is our grief that binds us to one another. There is an unspeakable knowing between two people who have loved and lost, an understanding that connects our hearts.

During our time together, gathered amongst women in sacred circle, we will explore how sharing our grief with one another deepens us, and eases the sorrows within our hearts. This guided process will support you to journey through the paradox of grief and gratitude, love and loss, death and rebirth. Our loving journey will encourage you to deepen your connection to yourself, to one another, and to the earth, as we draw upon the teachings of Francis Weller (author of The Wild Edge of Sorrow), Shauna Janz (founder of Sacred Grief), and the timeless healing that is to be found in Mother Earth’s embrace.

We will gather in circle once each week, for four weeks, holding one another as we journey through our grief together. In this gentle space, held in love, all experiences of grief are welcome and honoured, from the relationship that came to an end, the death of a loved one, grief for our unmet hopes and needs, the loss of feelings of belonging, or for the destructrion of the earth.

Please note: I am not a registered psychologist or grief counsellor, however, through studying various courses facilitated by Shauna Janz (founder of Sacred Grief), as well as through my personal grief journey, I have gained an in depth knowledge of supporting others through the process of grief, and the importance of weaving ritual and companionship into one’s healing journey

A bit about your facilitator Siobhan

In my own grief journey, I have been lovingly held by women in my life, through the heart warming their love. Being held in such loving space has allowed my heart to soften in a most beautiful way, and led me to complete a course (led by Anoushka Florence of The Goddess Space) in facilitating Women’s Circles. I have a deep love for gardening and being amongst nature, and find such joy in weaving Mother Nature into these sacred spaces for women. It is also through my yoga practise that feelings of being held have been brought to my heart, and completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in December of 2020, allowing me to now hold space for others through nurturing yoga classes.

As I journey through my own healing, I hope to support women in bringing nurture to their hearts, so that they may feel held through all that they may feel, and know of how very loved they are.
