I have been practising Reiki for a number of years & I am a Reiki Master/Practitioner, registered with the UK Reiki Federation & fully insured.
I have also taken a course in Animal Reiki with an internationally acclaimed Reiki Master & attended various courses in Animal Communication, recently achieving a Diploma in this modality.
I am presently offering Reiki for animals on a voluntary basis at my local Animal Shelter.
As a child, I spent many happy hours exploring the countryside around my home, which nurtured my life-long love of nature & all animal life.
I feel blessed to have lived & worked with many different species of animals, from hamsters to rhinos & many more in-between, having been a guardian to numerous pets & working alongside many varied & exotic species, firstly at a zoo & then a large safari park, where animals were treasured by their human counterparts, who devoted themselves to caring for the animals 24/7. After a few years I relocated to Gloucestershire & spent some time volunteering at a wildlife rescue centre. I then trained & qualified as a Veterinary Nurse & spent many more years working in Small Animal Practice, for some of this time as Head Nurse, before finally leaving my profession to work in a different field alongside my husband & devote myself to my two children.
I had heard about Reiki & thought I knew vaguely what it was about, but after a devastating tragedy, I found Reiki – or perhaps it found me – through my friend & mentor who generously supported me by giving me a series of Reiki treatments; for which I am eternally grateful.
Reiki helped me to find the strength to carry on & eventually emerge from the abyss I had found myself in…..it is truly amazing!
I now practice Reiki for my own well-being on a daily basis & wish to dedicate myself to helping others – human or otherwise – become more at ease with themselves & their own lives, to relieve feelings of anxiety, to find comfort & support from within & to experience a more peaceful & balanced state of mind, through Reiki.
